Fair Trade Egypt is a social enterprise established in 1998 to provide marketing and development services to disadvantaged producers, generate sustainable income for those artisans, and hence preserve Egyptian handicrafts. Fair Trade Egypt is the first Egyptian Fair Trade Organization member of the World Fairtrade Organization (WFTO), since 2008.
Fair Trade Egypt is currently partnering with 43 artisan groups in Egypt, which accounts for around 2,006 individual Egyptian artisans in 13 governorates 90% of whom are women. It enables these producers to sustain their Egyptian handicrafts through the practices of Fair Trade. Fair Trade Egypt sells more than 1,400 fairly traded handcrafted products while providing them with the capacity building, technical assistance, and product development they need to meet local and global needs and quality standards.
Vision

Mission
Our drive is to empower disadvantaged Egyptian artisans by offering marketing and developmental services to sustain local communities as well as educate consumers about conscious buying through fair trade practices.
