"Azza Group was founded in 2001, on the hands of a women called Azza, who was once among the group of women of Bashayer, who wanted to have her own brand and expand her accomplishments. She produces various crochet prodcuts, from clothes, keychains, towels, and much more. This craft requires being a detail-oriented person since it’s all about needle work and sensitive techniques. Crochet is Azza’s passion to the point that she left her full time governmental work to form a group of 100 women who suffer from low living standards and help them generate income for their families, and then success took it all over. Azza and Fair Trade Egypt started collaborating in 2016, we aimed to support the marginalized artisans who want to work hard and make money for their living. And with the women of the group’s dedication and willingness to succeed, we fortunately could do so. We've helped in the marketing process of getting their products to be sold in various places."
